Montella is Adana's tax champion

The 2024 income tax record holders in Adana have been announced. Vincenzo Montella, head coach of the Turkish National Football Team, topped the city's list with 60 million 814 thousand TL in taxes.

The Revenue Administration (GİB) has shared the list of income tax record holders for 2024 with the public. A familiar name from the football world took the top spot on the Adana list.

MONTELLA AT THE TOP

According to data released by the Adana Defterdarlığı (Tax Office), Vincenzo Montella, head coach of the Turkish National Football Team, became Adana's number one tax record holder with the taxes he paid on his salary and attendance fees.

The list included information that Montella paid 60 million 814 thousand 988 TL and 12 kuruş in taxes. While the individuals in second and third place chose to remain anonymous, citrus producer Bülent Özler placed fourth with 19 million 700 thousand TL in taxes. Ziya Kıvanç, in fifth place, paid 18 million 300 thousand TL in taxes due to income from movable capital.

As is known, Montella served as the head coach of Adana Demirspor between September 2, 2021, and June 30, 2023.

FOOTBALLERS ALSO ON THE LIST IN SIVAS AND KONYA

In Sivas, a city of agriculture and industry, Sivasspor's Greek midfielder Charilaos Charisis took second place on the 2024 tax list. It was reported that Charisis paid 7 million 650 thousand TL in taxes throughout the year.

In Konya, Konyaspor's Brazilian footballer Guilherme Haubert Sitya ranked 12th with 12 million 567 thousand TL in taxes. Alassane Ndao from the same club ranked 27th with 6 million 713 thousand TL, while Adil Demirbağ secured the 50th spot with 3 million 883 thousand TL.
