Additional pension increase published in the Official Gazette
The additional pension increase announced by Minister Işıkhan has been published in the Official Gazette and has entered into force.
The Law on Amendments to the Unemployment Insurance Law and Certain Other Laws, which includes regulations regarding working life and was adopted by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), has been published in the Official Gazette.
According to the law, the 6-month increase rate for SSK and Bağ-Kur pensions, effective as of the January payment period, has been set at 49.25 percent. The lowest pension has been increased from 7,500 Turkish Lira to 10,000 Turkish Lira, effective from the January payment period.
The "general epidemic" situation has also been added to the grounds for short-term work. The minimum number of premium payment days required for an insured person to benefit from the short-term work allowance has been reduced from 600 to 450.
In order for an insured person to be entitled to the short-term work allowance, they must have been subject to an employment contract for the 120 days prior to the start date of the short-term work and must have worked as an insured employee and paid unemployment insurance premiums for at least 450 days in the last 3 years.
