Agricultural PPI increased by 57.85 percent annually in January!
The Agricultural Products Producer Price Index (Agricultural PPI) increased by 3.85 percent compared to the previous month and by 57.85 percent compared to the same month of the previous year in January.
The Turkish Statistical Institute has announced the Agricultural PPI data for January.
Accordingly, the index saw an increase of 3.85 percent compared to the previous month, 57.85 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, and 61.85 percent based on 12-month averages.
By sector, compared to the previous month, there was an increase of 3.45 percent in agriculture and hunting products and related services, 9.26 percent in forestry products and related services, and 11.54 percent in fish and other fishing products.
In terms of main groups, compared to the previous month, an increase of 0.69 percent was recorded in annual crops, 8.51 percent in perennial crops, and 4.06 percent in live animals and animal products.
According to the annual Agricultural PPI, 6 subgroups showed a lower change, while 8 subgroups showed a higher change.
DECLINE IN CITRUS FRUITS
There was a 23.96 percent decrease in citrus fruits annually. The subgroups with the lowest annual increases were determined as fibrous plants at 18.11 percent, and cereals (excluding rice), legumes, and oil seeds at 25.36 percent.
The subgroups with the highest annual increases were ranked as oil fruits at 154.68 percent, and tropical and subtropical fruits at 125.23 percent.
According to the monthly Agricultural PPI, 7 subgroups showed a lower change, while 7 subgroups showed a higher change. During the period in question, a decline of 13.63 percent was observed in oil fruits and 0.1 percent in live poultry. The subgroups with the lowest monthly increases compared to the same month of the previous year were recorded as 0.6 percent for fibrous plants and 1.65 percent for cereals (excluding rice), legumes, and oil seeds.
The subgroups with the highest increases compared to the previous month were tropical and subtropical fruits at 26.11 percent, and pome and stone fruits at 13.43 percent.
