Agricultural producer inflation announced

TÜİK has announced the Agricultural Products Producer Price Index (Agriculture-PPI) data for March. Accordingly, the index rose by 6.91 percent compared to the previous month, 12.81 percent compared to December of last year, 31.54 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, and 40.17 percent compared to the 12-month averages. 

SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN AGRICULTURE AND HUNTING

When looking at the changes in sectors last month, there was an increase of 7.36 percent in agriculture and hunting products and related services, an increase of 2.36 percent in forestry products and related services, and a decrease of 2.27 percent in fish and other fishing products, aquaculture, and support services for fishing.

CHANGE IN AGRICULTURAL PRODUCER PRICES

In the main groups, compared to the previous month, an increase of 9.61 percent was recorded in annual (non-perennial) crops, 11.3 percent in perennial crops, and 3.07 percent in live animals and animal products. It was stated that the sub-group with the highest annual change was citrus fruits with an increase of 171.38 percent, and the sub-group with the highest monthly change was other tree and bush fruits and nuts with an increase of 29.64 percent.
