Statement on pension and minimum wage hikes from AKP's Muhammet Emin Akbaşoğlu! He gave a date...
AKP Group Deputy Chairman Muhammet Emin Akbaşoğlu spoke in a live broadcast about the flat-rate raises for pensioners, who have been condemned to poverty-level wages, and additional raises for the minimum wage. Giving a date, Akbaşoğlu said, "We will continue to earn the prayers of both our pensioners and our employees. We will continue to take steps together to improve their situations."
As the local elections approach, the claim that the government will provide a flat-rate raise to pensioners as an election move has remained on the agenda.
AKP Group Deputy Chairman Muhammet Emin Akbaşoğlu, in a statement made before his party's rallies in Ankara and Istanbul, pointed to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and had stated, "Let us listen carefully to our President today and tomorrow. We will definitely make the arrangements regarding pensioners at the end of June or the beginning of July. We will carry out work by taking their demands into account."
While millions of pensioners and employees turned their eyes and ears to the AKP's Ankara and Istanbul rallies, the expected announcement from Erdoğan did not come.
NEW STATEMENT FROM AKBAŞOĞLU
A new statement has come from AKP's Akbaşoğlu, who disappointed the expectations of millions with his previous statement.
As a guest on TGRT Haber, Akbaşoğlu used the expressions, "When the Parliament opens after the elections, our agenda will of course be the pensioners. It is about overcoming these difficulties that pensioners are experiencing."
Continuing his remarks, Akbaşoğlu said, "As of the end of June and the beginning of July, we will continue to earn the prayers of both our pensioners and our employees. We will continue to take steps together to improve their situations."
'WE WILL IMPROVE THE LIVING CONDITIONS OF OUR PENSIONERS'
Akbaşoğlu stated that pensioners have also conveyed the difficulties they are experiencing during election campaigns, and noted that the issue is being evaluated by the government. Akbaşoğlu said, "The year 2024 has been declared the 'Year of Pensioners' by our government. Important steps have been taken on this issue with promotions. Hopefully, our Parliament will open as of April 16. Our agenda will of course be to improve the living conditions of our pensioners."
HE GAVE A DATE FOR THE MINIMUM WAGE
Akbaşoğlu used the following expressions in the continuation of his statement;
"As of the end of June and the beginning of July, we will continue to earn their prayers by definitely making these arrangements. We will continue to take steps together that will increase their purchasing power, reduce their expenses, and truly improve their situations. It is the AK Party and the People's Alliance that will do whatever is necessary, that listens to the discourse of our pensioners and employees, that shares their troubles, and that walks the path with them."
