At checkout, customers are informed with a message that the product will be delivered in its original packaging, which may "reveal what is inside." Customers who wish to keep their orders private can choose the "Ship in Amazon packaging" option for many products.

Amazon Turkey Country Manager Richard Marriott stated that the goal of the new packaging program is to eliminate unnecessary packaging and only use extra cardboard or envelopes when needed to protect the product. Marriott expressed that they understand customers' desire for fast and secure delivery, and that this practice aims to offer customers the benefits of using less packaging.

When packaging is required, Amazon uses machine learning-based algorithms to offer smart packaging options. This ensures that products are packed more efficiently and delivered to customers safely.

Marriott emphasized that by offering customers the additional packaging option, they aim to avoid spoiling surprises, especially for gift purchases, and that products for customers who choose this option will continue to be packed with additional packaging.
