Another price hike is coming to Netflix!

Having increased its subscription package prices last January, Netflix is expected to implement another price hike within this year, according to analysts. Based on an analysis by the investment bank UBS Securities, Netflix is expected to raise prices again in 2024.

With the price hike implemented by Netflix last month, the cost of the lowest plan rose to 119.99 TL. However, according to UBS analysts, further price increases are expected within this year. Platform executives have also indicated that rate increases are on the table.

Last year's price increases followed the company's announcement that it had added 8.8 million subscribers between July and September. These increases were partly driven by the plan to crack down on password sharing. An extra fee was introduced to allow multiple households to share the same account, and it was stated that many users opted for this choice.

With the first price hike decision of 2024, the fee for the cheapest basic plan was increased by 20 percent to 119.99 TL, the price of the standard plan was raised from 149 TL to 176.99 TL with an 18 percent hike, and the premium plan fees were increased from 199 TL to 229.99 TL with a 15 percent hike. For this reason, analysts predict that the platform will continue to increase its prices.
