Apple to invest $500 billion in the US: Pledge of 20,000 jobs
Apple has announced an investment plan exceeding $500 billion in the US over the next four years. This investment will cover large-scale projects in areas such as artificial intelligence, chip engineering, and training programs, and will create 20,000 new job opportunities.
Apple plans to open a new advanced manufacturing facility in Houston. This facility will be used for the production of Apple Intelligence servers and is expected to become operational in 2026. The facility, which will be established on a 250,000-square-meter site, will provide job opportunities for thousands of people.
Apple CEO Tim Cook stated that this investment reflects their confidence in American innovation and expressed the following:
''This $500 billion investment strengthens our commitment to our country's future. We are excited to double our Advanced Manufacturing Fund and expand high-tech manufacturing in Texas.''

ADVANCED MANUFACTURING FUND AND CHIP PRODUCTION
Apple has decided to increase its Advanced Manufacturing Fund from $5 billion to $10 billion. This fund will support high-skill manufacturing jobs across the US. Additionally, with the investment made in TSMC's Fab 21 chip production facility in Arizona, Apple's chip production will be increased, and employment will be provided for more than 2,000 people.
Apple, which has nearly doubled its R&D spending over the last five years, is expected to grow faster. Over the next four years, 20,000 new employees will be hired in the fields of R&D, software development, chip engineering, and artificial intelligence.

MANUFACTURING ACADEMY AND EDUCATION SUPPORT IN DETROIT
Apple will open a Manufacturing Academy in Detroit for small and medium-sized enterprises. This academy will help implement artificial intelligence and smart manufacturing techniques. Experts from educational institutions such as Michigan State University will provide free training alongside Apple engineers.
Furthermore, Apple is increasing its grants to organizations such as 4-H, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and FIRST to provide technology education to young people. As part of the new Chip Initiative, collaboration with universities such as Georgia Tech and UCLA will provide students with training in chip design and hardware engineering.
While Apple has paid $75 billion in taxes in the US over the last five years, this figure reached $19 billion in 2024 alone. This massive investment plan is considered an important step that will consolidate Apple's place in the US economy while strengthening the country's global leadership in the fields of artificial intelligence and chip production.
