Apple's iPhone sales in China are in decline
Smartphone sales of U.S. tech giant Apple in China recorded a 19.1 percent decline in the first quarter of this year.
According to data from global technology market research firm Counterpoint, China's smartphone sales increased by 1.5 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2024, marking the second consecutive quarter of year-on-year growth.
While Apple's smartphone sales in China decreased by 19.1 percent during the same period, Huawei's sales increased by 69.7 percent.
Apple's market share in the country, which was 19.7 percent in the first quarter of last year, fell to 15.7 percent in the same period this year.
Huawei's market share, meanwhile, rose from 9.3 percent to 15.5 percent during this period.
