ASO collaborates with TÜBİTAK for twin transformation in industry

A "Cooperation Framework Protocol" has been signed between the Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) to ensure that member companies benefit more effectively from support for "digital transformation" and "green transformation."

According to a written statement from the Chamber, ASO President Seyit Ardıç stated during the signing ceremony that the cooperation with TÜBİTAK will integrate the power of science and technology into the industry.

Stating that the agenda of the industry in Ankara is change, Ardıç said, "Our main desire is to reach a point where we can produce technology and innovations at an international level. For this, we want twin transformation to become an institutional identity for all our members in the medium term."

Ardıç reported that they are carrying out comprehensive activities for companies regarding compliance with the European Union's (EU) production and trade criteria, and noted the following:

"TÜBİTAK's expertise in research and development activities will allow us to offer technology-based solutions to our ASO members. This protocol will contribute to the sustainable growth of our business world by encouraging innovation. At the same time, I believe it will make significant contributions to increasing R&D and innovation awareness among companies in our country, and to the transformation of innovative business ideas into technology-oriented ventures."

TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal stated that they believe they can contribute to Türkiye's competitiveness together with ASO, and provided information regarding the support the institution provides to industrialists for green and digital transformation.

R&D SUPPORT UNIT TO BE ESTABLISHED

Within the scope of the protocol in question, a special R&D support unit will be established within the Chamber. In this unit, information will be provided to members who wish to apply for TÜBİTAK's new calls and programs. The guidance needed by industrialists will be provided, and support will be given in project writing.
