The Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (SDIF) has increased the upper limit for deposit insurance. With the regulation taking effect from 2026, the amount of savings deposits and participation funds subject to insurance has been raised to 1 million 200 thousand liras.
The Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (SDIF) has decided to increase the upper limit applied to savings deposits and participation funds subject to insurance. Accordingly, the current limit of 950 thousand liras has been raised to 1 million 200 thousand liras.
The "Savings Deposit Insurance Fund Board Decision" by the SDIF has been published in the Official Gazette and has entered into force.
The decision states that the amount of deposits and participation funds under insurance coverage has been increased from 950 thousand liras to 1 million 200 thousand liras.
It was stated that the regulation will be applied starting from the beginning of the 2026 calendar year.
