The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) will announce the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data for July today at 10:00 AM.
The figures to be released are of critical importance, particularly regarding civil servant and retiree salaries, as well as rent increase rates and economic forecasts.
AVERAGE EXPECTATION IS AT THE 2.34 PERCENT LEVEL
17 economists participated in the expectation survey published by Anadolu Agency on June 30 regarding July inflation. The economists' average monthly CPI increase forecast for July was calculated at 2.34 percent.
Expectations ranged from a low of 1.65 percent to a high of 2.90 percent. According to the survey, inflation, which was announced at 35.05 percent on an annual basis in June, is expected to decline to 33.90 percent in July.
According to the economists' forecasts, it seems likely that inflation will reach the 30.32 percent level by the end of 2025.
On the other hand, the CPI had shown an increase of 1.37 percent in June. The July data will provide important clues regarding the economic outlook for the second half of the year.
