Attention shopkeepers and business owners! Commercial rent increase rate announced
Rent increase rates calculated based on CPI data were capped at 25 percent for residential properties. However, this practice did not apply to commercial rents. With the announcement of December inflation, the ceiling rent increase rates have also been determined.
For contracts renewed between June 11, 2022, and July 1, 2024, rent increases for residential properties cannot exceed 25 percent.
There is no such rent increase limit for commercial properties.
Consequently, business owners whose lease contract terms expired in November will apply a ceiling rent increase of 53.86 percent.
