Attention vehicle owners: Today is the last day! Risk of seizure for non-payment

Today is the deadline for the second installment of Motor Vehicle Tax payments. The second part of the payments, which are made in January and July, is carried out between July 1 and July 31. If payment is not made today, e-seizure proceedings may be initiated by tax offices.

MTV payments can be made online via the Revenue Administration's digital tax office. Additionally, there are options to pay through tax offices, PTT branches, bank branches, and banks' internet and mobile applications. Foreign bank cards can also be used for these payments.

For those who do not make their payments on time, the tax office may initiate e-seizure proceedings. Furthermore, those who wish to have their vehicle inspected must have paid their MTV debts. A monthly late interest rate of 4.5 percent will be applied to those who do not pay by July 31.

MTV amounts for 2025 were increased by 43.93 percent through a revaluation made by the President's decision. This increase means that vehicle owners will pay higher taxes. With the new regulation, the lowest MTV amount for new vehicles has risen to 4 thousand 834 liras.
