Bad news for driver candidates: Massive price hike for driving tests
Bad news has arrived for driver candidates looking to obtain a license. Driving test fees have increased in 2025. Those who fail the first exam will pay 4000 TL.
With the arrival of the new year, there has been a significant increase in exam fees for those wishing to obtain a driver's license. According to the new regulation announced by the Ministry of National Education (MEB), the driving test fee has been raised from 750 TL to 1350 TL as of 2025.
There has also been a major hike in the fee that candidates who fail the first exam must pay for the second exam. The second exam fee, which was previously 2500 TL, has been increased to 4000 TL in the new year. This increase will directly affect both those who want to get a license for the first time and those who have not passed the exam.
TRAINEES WILL PAY THE PRICE DIFFERENCE
According to the report by Patronlar Dünyası, candidates who had already paid their driving course fees are now facing the increased exam fees. In the notification messages sent to candidates, the courses reminded them that the new price differences must be paid.
The messages included the following statements:
"Dear candidates, the new exam fees have been set at 4000 TL. It is kindly requested that you complete your payments by January 7."
