Bad news for vehicle owners: Massive hike in diesel prices on the way!

The new sanctions decision taken by US President Donald Trump has shaken the balance in energy markets. Russia's two largest oil companies, Rosneft and Lukoil, have been added to the US sanctions list.

Following this decision, countries that cooperate with these companies are also expected to be indirectly affected by the sanctions. The development has rapidly pushed Brent crude oil prices upward, while also triggering a wave of price hikes in the domestic fuel market.

2 TL HIKE COMING TO DIESEL

Journalist Olcay Aydilek announced the development in a post on his social media account. Aydilek stated, "The market is in turmoil. The US has added Russian oil companies Rosneft and Lukoil and their subsidiaries to the sanctions list. Diesel prices have risen rapidly in international markets. Dealers are on alert to purchase diesel at lower prices. If prices do not retreat, there will be a hike of around 2 TL at midnight on Friday."
