BDDK announces: Significant change to accounts subject to statute of limitations
The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) has amended the regulation determining the procedures and principles regarding the acceptance and withdrawal of deposits and participation funds, as well as deposits, participation funds, custody, and receivables subject to the statute of limitations.
According to the statement on the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency's (BDDK) website, the Board has decided to update the amount specified in the second paragraph of Article 8 of the "Regulation on the Procedures and Principles Regarding the Acceptance and Withdrawal of Deposits and Participation Funds, and Deposits, Participation Funds, Custody, and Receivables Subject to the Statute of Limitations," published in the Official Gazette dated November 1, 2006, and numbered 26333, from the "250 lira" figure that has been in effect since 2018 to "1000 lira."
According to the statement, it was decided that the decision be communicated to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund and the relevant associations, and published on the agency's website.
