Birth assistance regulation published in the Official Gazette

The birth assistance regulation has been published in the Official Gazette. Under the regulation, a one-time payment of 5 thousand Turkish Liras will be made for the first child, 1 thousand 500 TL per month for the second child, and 5 thousand TL per month for the third and subsequent children.

Birth assistance regulation published in the Official Gazette

The birth assistance regulation has been published in the Official Gazette with the signature of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

According to the published regulation, a one-time payment of 5 thousand TL will be made for the first child born after 01.01.2025, 1 thousand 500 TL per month for the second child, and 5 thousand TL per month for the third and subsequent children.

Payments will be made through the Social Assistance and Solidarity Promotion Fund without being subject to any taxes or deductions. Applications will be made via e-Government and other channels determined by the Ministry. To be eligible for birth assistance, the mother or father must be a Turkish citizen and reside in Turkey.

Birth assistance payments for the second and subsequent children will continue until the month the child turns 5 years old. Applications for birth assistance can be made within 12 months from the date of birth for the first child, and until the child completes the age of 5 for other children.

Birth assistance payments made under the scope of the regulation cannot be seized under any circumstances. Individuals who receive birth assistance unfairly by making false declarations will be required to repay these payments with interest.

Legal action will also be taken against beneficiaries who fail to fulfill their notification obligations.
