Bread price hike in Bursa
Bread prices in Bursa have increased by 25 percent. A 200-gram loaf of bread, previously sold for 10 liras, will now be sold as a 240-gram loaf for 15 liras. Bakers announced that the price per kilogram has risen from 50 liras to 62.5 liras.
The Bursa Bakers Chamber has increased bread prices as of January 2 due to rising costs.
Accordingly, 240 grams of white bread will be sold for 15 liras.
300 grams of whole wheat, yellow wheat, bran, or rye bread will be sold for 30 liras, 650 grams of village bread for 45 liras, a dinner roll for 5 liras, and 300 grams of lavash bread for 25 liras.
