Bread prices hiked in Istanbul
With the decision taken at the May assembly meeting of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO), the maximum price for 200 grams of bread in Istanbul has been increased by 31.25 percent to 10 TL.
The bread price tariff was updated in December 2023, and the maximum price for 210 grams of bread was set at 8 TL.
A vote was held at the ITO's May assembly meeting to determine the bread price tariffs for bakeries that are members of the ITO in Istanbul.
The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO), with the decision taken at its May assembly meeting, increased the maximum price for 200 grams of bread in Istanbul by 31.25 percent to 10 TL.
