Bread prices increased in one province
In Bilecik, the price of a 200-gram loaf of bread has risen to 15 liras.
According to the new tariff determined by the Bilecik Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bilecik Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, a price increase of 2 liras and 50 kurus was applied to bread. The 200-gram loaf of bread, which was previously 12.50 TL, has risen to 15 TL with this increase.
While citizens expressed their reaction to the rising bread prices, bakers pointed to the increase in costs. Bakers stated, "Our costs such as electricity, natural gas, diesel, labor, and social security expenses have increased significantly in the recent period. For this reason, the price increase became inevitable."
