Breaking News... Final offer for civil servant salary increase announced

ARBITRATION BOARD CONVENED
The fourth meeting of the Public Officials Arbitration Board took place today at 14:00. Following the critical meeting, the decision awaited by millions of public employees and civil servant retirees was announced.
NO CHANGES FOR 2026
The Arbitration Board accepted the government's proposed 11+7 percent salary increase for 2026 exactly as it was. Thus, the government's proposal for 2026 was finalized without any changes. This proposal by the Arbitration Board has been approved.
1-POINT INCREASE FOR 2027
The government's 4+4 percent salary increase proposal for 2027 was slightly revised by the board. Accordingly, the salary increase rate for 2027 was raised to 5+4 percent.
GOVERNMENT'S PROPOSAL
In its final offer, the government had proposed a flat-rate improvement of 1,000 TL to base salaries. It had also offered an 11+7 percent increase for 2026 and a 4+4 percent increase for 2027.
MEMUR-SEN'S DEMANDS
Memur-Sen, on the other hand, argued that the government's offer remained far below their expectations during the negotiation process and had demanded an 88 percent increase for 2026 and a 46 percent increase for 2027.
