Breaking News: Statement on minimum wage from TÜRK-İŞ Vice President Ramazan Ağar
TÜRK-İŞ Vice President Ramazan Ağar stated, "We will determine our stance based on the attitude of the other side. We have held our meeting; everything for the minimum wage has been ready from the start, and we want to conclude the process as soon as possible."
The third meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission, which millions of employees are watching closely, will begin today at 11:30 AM.
Before the commission meeting, the TÜRK-İŞ delegation gathered to discuss the minimum wage.
The board, chaired by TÜRK-İŞ President Ergün Atalay, gathered the opinions of the unions affiliated with TÜRK-İŞ. These views are expected to be conveyed to the commission during the third meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission.
"EVERYTHING IS READY"
TÜRK-İŞ Vice President Ramazan Ağar answered questions from journalists following the meeting.
Ağar stated, “We have reached the final days. There is no need to keep the public in such suspense; we especially want this to be concluded as soon as possible. Everything is ready. We will determine our stance accordingly, based on the attitude of the other side."
NO FIGURES EMERGED FROM THE FIRST 2 MEETINGS
The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, consisting of representatives from workers, employers, and the government, held its first meeting on December 10 and its second meeting on December 16 as part of the efforts to determine the minimum wage that will be valid in 2025. No figures were mentioned during the first two meetings, which were followed by millions of employees.
