Breaking News... Vedat Işıkhan announced: First salary increase offer for civil servants revealed! First statement from Memur-Sen

The government's first salary increase offer in the 8th Term Collective Bargaining negotiations has been revealed.

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that they have proposed an increase of 10 percent for the first half of 2026 and 6 percent for the second half, and 4 percent each for the first and second halves of 2027.

MEMUR-SEN had demanded 25 percent for the first 6 months of 2026 and 20 percent for the second 6 months.

"WE REJECT THIS NON-SERIOUS OFFER"

MEMUR-SEN President Ali Yalçın stated the following in his remarks following the ministry's offer:

“We reject this non-serious offer. Did you wait 19 days for this offer? Does this figure align at all with market prices, rent increases, or the realities of civil servants? We do not see an offer here that is worth negotiating.”
