Budget deficit continues to grow
The central government budget posted a deficit of 186 billion 271 million liras in October, and 1 trillion 260 billion 289 million liras in the January-October period.
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance has announced the budget implementation results for October.
Accordingly, in October, budget revenues increased by 62.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 769 billion 207 million liras, while budget expenditures rose by 67.9 percent to 955 billion 478 million liras.
In the January-October period, budget revenues rose by 75.1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 6 trillion 853 billion 826 million liras.
Budget expenditures also increased by 79.4 percent in the same period, reaching 8 trillion 114 billion 115 million liras.
The central government budget posted a deficit of 186 billion 271 million liras in October, and 1 trillion 260 billion 289 million liras in the January-October period.
