Shops inside Çam and Sakura Hospital begin operating at 'full capacity'
Citizens visiting Çam and Sakura Hospital were met with a hospital in a shopping mall format. It was observed that toy stores and clothing shops have begun operations within the hospital.
According to footage captured by a Haber Aktif reporter, shops at Çam and Sakura Hospital have begun their operations. Citizens who went to the hospital for examinations were met with a hospital in a shopping mall format.
Citizens who asked for directions to the polyclinic department they were looking for were surprised to receive directions such as "Pass the toy store, turn right, and it's across from that shop there."
This situation has led to reactions from some citizens. Those who believe the services provided are inadequate and struggle to find appointments have made criticisms such as, "They are building hospitals in the style of shopping malls, but there are no doctors inside."
While grievances continue in state hospitals where there is an insufficient number of physicians and the earliest available appointment is 15 days away, the hospital turning into a shopping mall format raises questions about whether this is a service or an investment. Most doctors are leaving the country after completing their specialization. Whether opening stores inside a hospital is truly a leap forward in healthcare, while all of this is happening in the health sector, remains a mystery.
Journalist İsmail Arı from BirGün Newspaper commented on this situation on his social media account as follows:
Arı stated, "They are building hospitals in the style of shopping malls, but there are no doctors inside. Because they are going abroad due to the government. Furthermore, they claim we have made a leap forward in healthcare for this disgrace."

Questions inevitably come to mind, such as whether these types of shops were added to the hospital for the needs of those inside, or if other things were considered through investments and tenders. There has been no statement from the Ministry of Health yet. Citizens, who are expecting major reforms and improvements in the healthcare system, remain surprised by the shopping mall-formatted hospital.
