CBRT grants operating license to 1 company, revokes license of another
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has granted an operating license to one company while revoking the operating license of another.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has granted Garanti Ödeme ve Elektronik Para Hizmetleri AŞ permission to operate as an electronic money institution, and has revoked the operating license of Ria Turkey Ödeme Kuruluşu AŞ as a payment institution.
The decisions by the CBRT were published in today's (February 15) issue of the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, Garanti Ödeme ve Elektronik Para Hizmetleri AŞ will provide payment services and electronic money issuance services. In this context, the company will operate as an electronic money institution.
The operating license of Ria Turkey Ödeme Kuruluşu AŞ as a payment institution has been revoked.
The decision in question was taken in accordance with the Law on Payment and Securities Settlement Systems, Payment Services and Electronic Money Institutions.
