Central Bank Governor Karahan to visit Parliament: Will provide information to the Committee

Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Governor Fatih Karahan will make a presentation at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Planning and Budget Committee on October 3. 

In this presentation, Karahan is expected to provide information to members of parliament on the Turkish economy, inflation, and monetary policy.

At the meeting, which will take place during the week the 3rd Legislative Year of the 28th Term of the TBMM is opened, Karahan is expected to deliver a comprehensive presentation within the framework of global developments, the Turkish economy, and monetary policy. 

The highlights of the meeting are expected to include the CBRT's interest rate decisions and developments regarding the fight against inflation.

In accordance with the Law on the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the Governor of the Central Bank is required to inform the TBMM Planning and Budget Committee about the Bank's activities and monetary policy practices. 

Therefore, Karahan's presentation will provide an important opportunity that will include the questions and opinions of members of parliament, in addition to economic developments.
