Central Bank revokes operating license of electronic money company
With a decision published in the Official Gazette, the authorization for Vezne24 to operate as an electronic money institution has been terminated.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) has revoked the authorization granted to Vezne24 Tahsilat Sistemleri ve Ödeme Hizmetleri AŞ to operate as an electronic money institution.
The decision was published in today's issue of the Official Gazette. Accordingly, the operating license held by the company under Law No. 6493 on Payment and Securities Settlement Systems, Payment Services and Electronic Money Institutions has been terminated.
Vezne24 had been granted the license to operate as an electronic money institution on September 13, 2018.
It was stated that the CBRT's revocation decision was based on Article 16, paragraph 1, clause (b) of Law No. 6493. Thus, the company's authority to conduct operations as an electronic money institution has been removed.
