Central Bank's net reserves excluding swaps turn positive

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey's (TCMB) net reserves excluding swaps have turned positive with an improvement of 66.5 billion dollars.

Following the steps taken, the trend toward Turkish Lira assets in many areas has accelerated positively, and this interest is expected to increase further in the coming period.

The growing interest in Turkish Lira assets also stands out in reports recently published by foreign institutions.

66 BILLION DOLLARS IN 2 MONTHS

While the TCMB's net reserves excluding swaps stood at minus 65 billion dollars on March 29, 2024, they rose to 1.5 billion dollars in the week ending May 31.

Thus, the Central Bank's net reserves have turned positive.

During the period in question, gross reserves increased from 123.1 billion dollars to 143.6 billion dollars.
