Central Bank's year-end inflation forecast rises
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) has announced its year-end inflation forecast for 2024. Market participants' year-end CPI expectation rose to 45.28 percent. Inflation expectations for 12 and 24 months ahead remained at lower levels.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) has published its market participants survey for December, which was answered by 69 participants consisting of representatives from the real and financial sectors.
According to the survey, participants' current year-end consumer inflation (CPI) expectation, which was 44.81 percent in the previous survey period, became 45.28 percent in this survey period.

INFLATION EXPECTATION 12 MONTHS AHEAD
According to the market participants survey, the inflation expectation for 12 months ahead in December was determined as 27.07 percent in this survey period, compared to 27.20 percent in the previous survey period.

INFLATION EXPECTATION 24 MONTHS AHEAD
The inflation expectation for 24 months ahead was 18.33 percent and 18.47 percent, respectively, in the same survey periods.
