Chinese automotive brand returns to the Turkish market
It has been learned that the Chinese automotive brand Geely Auto plans to return to the Turkish market. It is stated that the group plans to bring Geely-branded vehicles to the country first.
Chinese automotive brand Geely Auto operated in the Turkish market between 2008 and 2012 with models such as the Echo, Familia, and Emgrand, before withdrawing from European markets and Turkey in subsequent years. However, China's Geely is now planning a return to Europe, with a focus on countries including Turkey, Italy, and Poland.
Reiterating their intention to return to the Turkish market, Geely International General Manager Michael Song stated, "We will not forget our old friends." Tommy Cheng, an official from Geely's European Regional Strategies Department, expressed that the brand is closely monitoring the market in the country and will announce its entry decision in the near future.
It is noted that while Geely's efforts to return to Turkey have not yet been finalized, the decision is expected to be made and announced soon.
The group will initially bring Geely-branded vehicles to Turkey.
