Cigarette prices set to rise
Erol Dündar, President of the Monopoly Dealers Solidarity Association, announced that cigarette prices will increase by approximately 5 TL within October. Dündar stated that prices may rise again in the new year due to the Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV) increase.

5 TL INCREASE EXPECTED
Speaking to TELE1, Dündar stated that cigarette prices are expected to increase by approximately 5 TL within the month of October. He noted that this increase is expected to take effect in the coming weeks.
Cigarette prices were last increased at the end of July and the beginning of August.
ANOTHER HIKE ON THE HORIZON FOR THE NEW YEAR
TBYD President Erol Dündar said that cigarette prices could rise again in the new year due to the impact of the Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV) regulation. Dündar stated, "We expect prices to increase in the new year as well, along with the ÖTV update."
