Cities with the lowest cost of living in Turkey announced
In the face of rising inflation and the high cost of living, the 4 most economical cities in Turkey, as determined by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), have been announced for those seeking more affordable living conditions.
According to research conducted by TÜİK based on rent, food, transportation, and energy expenditures, Ağrı, Amasya, Ardahan, and Şırnak stand out as the cities with the lowest cost of living in Turkey.
Ağrı maintains its title as the most economical city this year as well, continuing to be an attractive option for fixed-income citizens and retirees. The city draws attention with its affordable rent prices and low transportation costs.
Amasya, on the other hand, stands out with its low rent and food expenses. The average rent for 1+1 apartments in the city hovers around 3,500 TL, which offers an economical life for retirees.
Ardahan ranks third on the list with the advantages it provides in transportation and basic consumer goods. In particular, the fact that vegetable and fruit prices are 40% cheaper compared to major cities makes the city attractive.
Finally, Şırnak offers an economical alternative by reducing living costs thanks to increasing infrastructure and security investments. Affordable housing prices and general expenses make the city a preferred choice.
Turkey's most economical cities have been determined as Ağrı, Amasya, Ardahan, and Şırnak, respectively.
