Claim: Hafize Gaye Erkan is returning
It has been claimed that Hafize Gaye Erkan, who was removed from the presidency of the Central Bank in recent months, will be appointed to head the BRSA, replacing Şahap Kavcıoğlu.
Inside information has emerged regarding Hafize Gaye Erkan, who was appointed as the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) last year and was removed from office on February 2, 2024, following allegations concerning her father.
According to a report in Gerçek Gündem, Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) Chairman Şahap Kavcıoğlu will be removed from his post and replaced by Hafize Gaye Erkan.
ŞİMŞEK CONVINCED ERDOĞAN
It is being discussed that Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek will appoint Hafize Gaye Erkan as the head of the BRSA at the beginning of June and that he has convinced President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on this matter.
On the other hand, it was also claimed that the general managers of two public banks will be changed.
