Following reports regarding credit cards, a statement was released by the Center for Combating Disinformation concerning the claims that "installments on credit cards have been removed."
In the statement, it was noted that the claim appearing on some social media accounts that "installments on credit cards have been removed" is not true.
The statement included the following:
"There is no regulation implemented by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance or relevant institutions regarding the removal of the installment practice in credit card usage.
It has been determined that baseless and speculative statements that could disrupt the functioning of the market are being made based on incorrect information regarding credit cards.
Do not rely on statements made outside of official institutions and authorities."
