Competition Authority approves: UAE company takes sole control of Getir
The application made to the Competition Authority for the acquisition of control of Getir Perakende Lojistik Anonim Şirketi by Mubadala Investment Company PJSC has been approved.
Following Getir's announcement in June that it was in a restructuring process, the Competition Board, upon the application submitted, approved the acquisition of the majority and controlling shares of the company's grocery and food delivery businesses by the United Arab Emirates-based Mubadala Investment Company PJSC in its decision dated 19.09.2024.
It has been learned that in the new structure, the minority shares of Getir's founders will continue in the grocery and food delivery business. Furthermore, while control of Getir's other businesses, such as e-commerce and mobility, will remain with the founders, the majority shares of these units will also pass to the Getir founders.
