Conflicts hit fuel: Price hikes of up to 3 TL for gasoline and 7 TL for diesel are on the way
Conflicts triggered by US and Israeli attacks on Iran have stirred energy markets. Following the rise in Brent crude oil, price hikes for diesel and gasoline are expected starting tomorrow.
Following military operations by the US and Israel against Iran, volatility in global energy markets has accelerated. Under the influence of the conflicts, the price of Brent crude oil moved upward in a short time.
Brent crude oil, which was trading in the 70-dollar band before the conflicts, rose to levels around 78 dollars following the developments. This increase in international markets is expected to be reflected in fuel prices in the domestic market.
According to information received from industry representatives, an increase of between 5.5 and 7 TL per liter is projected for diesel, effective from tomorrow.
In the gasoline group, a price hike of between 2.5 and 3 TL per liter is expected.
CURRENT FUEL PRICES
According to current retail prices, a liter of gasoline is sold at 58.34 TL in Istanbul, 59.28 TL in Ankara, and 59.56 TL in Izmir.
Diesel prices are applied at 60.39 TL in Istanbul, 61.49 TL in Ankara, and 61.76 TL in Izmir.
