Court rules on illegal transport fine issued to Martı TAG user
The illegal transport fines issued to a Martı TAG user have been annulled by the Antalya 2nd Administrative Court.
According to a statement from the company, the Antalya 2nd Administrative Court has annulled the 20,342 Turkish Lira administrative fine and the 60-day traffic ban imposed on a Martı TAG user on allegations of illegal transport, citing a lack of evidence.
In the lawsuit filed by the TAG driver, B.B., whose vehicle was impounded and who was fined by police teams, the Antalya 2nd Administrative Court found the driver to be in the right. With this decision, the allegation that the TAG driver was engaged in commercial passenger transport has been rendered invalid.
The court ruling stated that "the report prepared by police teams was one-sided and unsubstantiated, that there was no evidence that the TAG driver was transporting passengers for commercial purposes, and that it was based solely on the statement of law enforcement; therefore, the fine issued based on the report prepared by the police was unlawful."
