Crisis at Bosch: Employees turn the cafeteria into a stadium
Employees at the Bosch factory, which produces power transmission solutions for the world's leading automotive manufacturers, turned their cafeteria into a stadium after rejecting the wage increase rate in the collective bargaining agreement. Keeping time with their spoons, the workers staged a protest, chanting, 'This is Bosch, pockets are empty.'
The failure of the parties to reach an agreement in the MESS Group Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations, which cover 150 thousand workers for the 2023-2025 period and are ongoing between the Turkish Employers' Association of Metal Industries (MESS) and Türk Metal, Birleşik Metal-İş, and Özçelik-İş, was protested by factory employees. Workers at the Bosch factory in Bursa, who did not accept the 35 percent raise in the collective bargaining agreement, held a protest.
Gathering for lunch, the employees turned the cafeteria into a stadium. Keeping time with their spoons, the workers chanted, 'This is Bosch, pockets are empty,' and demanded that their requests be met.
