Date set: Price hike coming for raw milk
The National Milk Council has set the raw milk reference price at 19.60 TL per liter, with the new price effective starting October 1.
The National Milk Council (USK) has implemented a significant increase in the price of raw milk. The raw milk reference price, previously 18.35 TL per liter, has been raised by 1.25 TL to 19.60 TL. This change represents a 6.8 percent increase in the recommended raw milk sales price.
The Association of All Milk, Meat, and Breeding Cattle Breeders (TÜSEDAD) had requested that the raw milk price be increased to 21 TL to ensure the sustainability of production. However, the new price set by the USK remained below this demand.
The statement made during the Board of Directors meeting held on September 17, 2025, was as follows:
"Effective from October 1, 2025, the recommended sales price for raw cow's milk with 3.6 percent fat and 3.2 percent protein content has been unanimously set at 19.60 TL, to be paid net to the producer per liter (excluding raw milk subsidies). If cooling, transportation, and other current expenses are covered by the producer, these costs will be paid to the producer in addition.
A difference of ± 29 Kuruş will be applied for each dizyem (0.1 change) in the base fat and protein ratios.
The recommended sales price for raw cow's milk will be re-evaluated in the December 2025 period."
