Development that will please consumers: Temu's new move following the removal of the 30-euro limit

Following the increased costs caused by the removal of the 30-euro limit on overseas shopping, Temu has begun handling customs procedures itself through an importer company it established in Turkey. Development that will please consumers: Temu's new move following the removal of the 30-euro limit

Temu, one of the most talked-about e-commerce platforms in Turkey recently, has implemented a new practice following regulations on overseas shopping. While the price increases in products following the removal of the 30-euro limit caused criticism among the public, the company has adopted a different method regarding the customs process.

CUSTOMS PROCESS TO BE CONDUCTED THROUGH THE COMPANY

According to information reported by Shiftdelete, Temu has established an importer company in Turkey and has begun to conduct customs procedures directly within its own structure. It was stated that with this step, users ordering from abroad via the platform will no longer need to perform any additional procedures.

In the new model, customs procedures are carried out on behalf of the company, not individual consumers. Users complete their orders by paying their taxes during the purchase. The products are then cleared from customs under the company's responsibility and delivered directly to the buyers' addresses.
