Dior drops Palestinian Bella Hadid, replaces her with Israeli model
Dior has chosen Israeli model May Tager over its brand ambassador Bella Hadid. Hadid had stated regarding Israel's attacks on Gaza, "Even if my career ends, I will never stop supporting Palestine."
Palestinian model Bella Hadid reacted strongly to Israel, which has blockaded Gaza and is killing innocent people.
Stating that she supports Gaza at the cost of losing her career, Hadid became a target of the occupiers.
Turning a blind eye to the genocide committed by Israel, Dior abandoned Palestinian-origin Bella Hadid in its new campaign and signed with Israeli model May Tager.
The Israeli newspaper Maariv, which brought the issue to the agenda, stated, "At a time when many companies are avoiding supporting Israel, Israeli model May Tager is leading the campaign for the international brand Dior, which was previously carried out by Bella Hadid."
The report noted that the photos for the brand's new campaign were taken in Paris and will reach all branches of the chain worldwide in the coming days.
TARGET OF THE OCCUPIERS: BELLA HADID
Bella Hadid also became a target of the occupiers in 2021 when she participated in the Free Palestine march in New York.
The controversy had led to calls for the French brand Dior not to re-select Hadid as a beauty ambassador.
