Down payment requirement removed for SGK premium debts
With the new regulation for citizens with premium debts to the Social Security Institution (SGK), the previously applied down payment requirement for installment plans has been removed, and installment payments can now be made in equal amounts.
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced a new change that has come into effect for those with premium debts to the Social Security Institution (SGK). According to the statement, debtors will now be able to benefit from installment opportunities for the deferral and installment of premium debts without the obligation of a down payment.
In line with the new regulation, those with premium debts will be able to pay their entire debt in equal installments. The previously applied requirement to pay a 10 percent down payment has been completely removed.
Minister Işıkhan emphasized that thanks to this change, citizens will experience significant relief in their payment processes. He stated, "With the new regulation, it has been ensured that all installments, including the first one, can be paid in equal amounts for deferred debts."
This convenience is intended to be a supportive step for citizens with SGK debts under current economic conditions. With the new practice, those who wish to restructure and pay their debts in installments will be able to apply without any upfront payment burden.
