E-commerce volume expected to reach 6 trillion TL in 2025!
Significant growth is expected in the e-commerce sector for 2025. Seyhun Özkara, a member of the TOBB E-commerce Sector Council, projects that following the 3.3 trillion TL volume achieved in 2024, e-commerce will reach a size between 5.5 and 6 trillion TL in 2025.
Seyhun Özkara, a member of the TOBB E-commerce Sector Council, stated that 2025 will be a promising year for the e-commerce sector. Recalling that the e-commerce volume reached 3.3 trillion TL in 2024, up from 1.85 trillion TL in 2023, Özkara noted that the sector recorded a growth of approximately 56 percent.

Özkara expressed that they expect a similarly positive outlook for 2025. He emphasized that due to the impact of inflation, they project the e-commerce volume to be between 5.5 and 6 trillion TL in 2025. He also touched upon how price increases in the latter part of 2024 affected shopping habits. He pointed out that in high-priced product categories such as automotive, spare parts, and home appliances, shopping activity increased alongside expectations of price hikes.
