Economic assessment from Mahfi Eğilmez: 'There is improvement'
Economist Mahfi Eğilmez shared an economic assessment on the social media platform X. Eğilmez stated, "The unemployment rate is falling."
Economist Mahfi Eğilmez has provided an assessment of the Turkish economy.
In a post on his social media account, Eğilmez noted the following:
"There is a slight decline in the dollarization rate (including KKM). The unemployment rate is falling. The CBRT's net reserve deficit, excluding swaps, is decreasing. Turkey's risk premium (CDS premium) has moved away from the image of an excessively risky economy. There is an improvement in our credit ratings. These are positive developments. On the other hand, the Treasury cash balance for January-April has posted a deficit of 807 billion TL. With such a large Treasury cash deficit, it does not seem possible to reduce inflation to 38% by the end of the year."
