Electricity and natural gas prices in the spot market

According to data from Energy Markets Operation Inc. (EPİAŞ), the trading volume in the spot electricity market today decreased by 7.5 percent compared to yesterday, reaching 1 billion 228 million 533 thousand 381 Turkish liras.

In the day-ahead market, the price of one megawatt-hour of electricity for tomorrow was determined to be at its highest at 2,661 Turkish liras and 99 kuruş at 19:00, and at its lowest at 1,248 Turkish liras and 98 kuruş at 12:00 and 13:00.

In the day-ahead market, the arithmetic average price of one megawatt-hour of electricity was 2,090 Turkish liras and 68 kuruş, while the weighted average price was 2,091 Turkish liras and 75 kuruş.

In the spot market, the price of one megawatt-hour of electricity was recorded today at a maximum of 2,680 Turkish liras and a minimum of 990 Turkish liras.

NATURAL GAS PRICES IN THE SPOT MARKET

According to data from Energy Markets Operation Inc. (EPİAŞ), the trading volume in the spot natural gas market yesterday was 8 million 784 thousand 69 Turkish liras. This amount was reported as 10 million 326 thousand 909 Turkish liras the previous day.

In the spot natural gas market yesterday, the reference price for 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas was 10,969 Turkish liras and 41 kuruş, and the gas trade volume was 801 thousand cubic meters.

For market participants, the balancing gas purchase price was set at 11,517 Turkish liras and 88 kuruş, and the sales price was set at 10,420 Turkish liras and 94 kuruş.

Yesterday, 177 million 364 thousand 435 cubic meters of natural gas were supplied to Turkey. The amount of natural gas supplied to the market was recorded as 177 million 222 thousand 950 cubic meters.
