Electricity production and consumption in Turkey were balanced yesterday. 869 thousand 536 megawatt-hours of electricity were produced, while consumption reached 866 thousand 815 megawatt-hours.
Data regarding daily electricity production and consumption in Turkey for yesterday have been released. According to data from TEİAŞ (Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation), a total of 869 thousand 536 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced in the country yesterday, while a total of 866 thousand 815 megawatt-hours of electricity was consumed during the same period.
Electricity consumption reached its peak yesterday at 20:00 with 40 thousand 206 megawatt-hours. The lowest consumption occurred at 05:00 with 31 thousand 134 megawatt-hours.
Imported coal power plants held the largest share in production at 22 percent. They were followed by wind power plants with 21.7 percent and dammed hydroelectric power plants with 20 percent.
Additionally, Turkey exported 6 thousand 211 megawatt-hours of electricity and imported 3 thousand 498 megawatt-hours of electricity yesterday.
