Era of multiple public sector salaries ends: It will not exceed that amount
As part of the public sector austerity measures published in the Official Gazette, the practice of receiving multiple salaries has been terminated. Administrative penalties will be imposed on public officials who do not comply with the measures.
The legislative regulation prepared to increase savings in the public sector has been published in the Official Gazette.
With the new regulation, public officials will receive a salary for only one position.
SALARY WILL NOT EXCEED 98 THOUSAND LIRA
The salary to be received will not be able to exceed the highest civil servant salary, which is 98 thousand lira.
THOSE WHO DO NOT COMPLY WILL BE PENALIZED
Various administrative penalties, such as salary deductions or dismissal, may be imposed on public officials who do not comply with the measures.
SURPLUS VEHICLES WILL BE SOLD
On the other hand, surplus vehicles in the public sector will be sold. The deduction rate from the general budget tax revenue shares of municipalities and provincial administrations for street and road lighting expenses will be increased from 20 percent to 30 percent.
