Erdoğan and Nebati discuss the economic agenda at Dolmabahçe
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with former Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati at Dolmabahçe Palace to address recent developments in the economy.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a meeting with former Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati at Dolmabahçe Palace.
It was reported that current economic issues were evaluated in detail during the meeting, which lasted approximately 1.5 hours.
Nebati, who was part of the economic management team before the May 2023 elections, had been subject to criticism from economists and market actors due to the 'Nas policies' he implemented.
Commenting on the meeting, former AKP Istanbul Provincial Board Member and Future Party Founders' Board Member Yavuz Değirmenci stated that the meeting was a gathering where important issues regarding the economy were discussed.
In recent days, claims had surfaced suggesting that Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek might leave his post and be replaced by Nureddin Nebati.
However, the Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) denied these allegations.
